Computer issue causes slot machine malfunction at Encore casino

EVERETT, MASS. (WHDH) - The slot machines inside the Encore Boston Harbor casino experienced a sudden glitch Friday night.

Employees had to dole out winnings by hand during a busy night for the new Everett casino after a computer issue caused a slot machine malfunction, according to a Wynn Resorts spokesperson.

Officials are unsure how many machines were impacted.

The systems should be back online shortly, the spokesperson said.
