The Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana owns and operates the resort, which opened in 1995. It is still to this day the largest casino in the state, with more than 2,000 slots and 65 table games, 10 restaurants, two hotels, a swimming pool and more.
A cake-cutting ceremony presided by tribal chairman David Sickey and Coushatta Tribal Council members will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 22. The event will also feature performances by tribal dancers, drummers and singers.
