Doyel's Casino venture

Citing the character and the director as her reasons to sign up for the film, the actor revealed parts of the plot to Dhaka Tribune Showtime.

"My character is the girlfriend of Nirob's character," she said. "She unveils a money laundering scheme masked behind a casino. Then she gets kidnapped, which starts an array of troubles."

Although she never worked with Shaikat before, they knew each other from an abandoned music video project

Dhaka Attack famed Taskin Rahman and Don will also star in the film alongside Doyel and Nirob.

The young actor had starred in a number of award winning short films in recent years. Her feature film credits include Nasiruddin Yousuff Bachchu's Oscar submission Alpha and Impress Telefilm's anthology Sincerely Yours, Dhaka. Her film Chandraboti Kotha by N Rashed Chowdhury is awaiting distribution.
