Gateway to break ground on Wasaga casino in 2020

Gateway Casinos and Entertainment says it will break ground on its Wasaga Beach facility in the spring.

That's the message the company's CEO delivered to municipal officials during a meeting Dec. 5 at Casino Rama.

In a news release issued following the meeting, Mayor Nina Biflochi thanked the company for its commitment to Wasaga Beach.

"We are excited to have Gateway become a part of Wasaga Beach," she said. "The new casino means new direct and indirect jobs, as well as new entertainment and dining offerings."
