Grand Falls Casino sportsbook now open

A rendering of what the new sportsbook will look like after the $10 million expansion at Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort is completed.
In-house betting at Grand Falls Casino is now available.
The casino's sportsbook, which is run by United Kingdom-based Betfred Sports, began taking bets on Monday at noon. A grand opening is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
The sportsbook is Grand Falls' latest foray into sports betting, which Iowa legalized in 2019. Last year, the casino began offering online gambling on sporting events through Elite Sportsbook.
Betfred Sportsbook also contains its own bar and grill, along with 80 big-screen televisions and 22 lounging chairs for guests to use while watching a big game.
The sportsbook is only part of Grand Falls' $10 million expansion. The casino is also working on a 66-room addition to its hotel, along with a skywalk between the hotel and casino. Grand Falls leadership hopes to have the hotel addition complete by Memorial Day of this year.
