Louisiana state police arrests two texas fugitives at Shreveport casino

Two Texas fugitives were arrested by Louisiana State Police earlier this week at a Shreveport casino.

Marcus Bresler, 39, of Longview, and Clinton Briggs, 36, of Gladewater, were arrested on warrants out of Gregg County, Texas, according to a Louisiana State Police (LSP) news release.

Troopers assigned to the LSP Gaming Enforcement Division made the arrests shortly after noon on Wednesday.

The day before, Gregg County Sheriff's Office contacted LSP Tropp G about a Crime Stopper's lead which advised the two wanted fugitives were possibly staying at a Shreveport casino.

"Through surveillance and other investigative means, both subjects were located and placed under arrest," read the news release.

"A stolen firearm and marijuana were located on Bresler as he was taken into custody."

Both men were booked in to the Caddo Correctional Center.

Bresler is held as a fugitive from Hopkins County Sheriff's Office (assault of family or household member by impede breath or circulation), fugitive from Gregg County Sheriff's Office (aggravated assault in retaliation) and on charges of felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of marijuana.

Briggs is held as a fugitive from Gregg County Sheriff's Office relating to a forgery of a financial instrument offense.
