Mike Ngai, chief operating officer and chief marketing officer of hotel and casino operator NagaCorp (3918), said business in Cambodia was less impacted by the coronavirus outbreak in China.

Ngai said the casino in Cambodia has attracted some mainlanders during the 10 days before and after the Lunar New Year holiday, as they had no other choice after Macau shut down casinos for two weeks.

Chairman Timothy McNally said the company relies not only on the Chinese market.

About 60 percent of revenue from VIP business is generated from the Malaysian market.

NagaCorp said net profit last year increased by 33 percent from a year ago to US$521 million (HK$4.06 billion). The basic earnings per share were 12.01 US cents and a final dividend of 5.09 US cents was declared.

Revenue grew by 19 percent from a year ago to US$1.76 billion.
