During the recently-concluded assembly session, Lobo had agreed with Monserrate's suggestion to shift casino vessels from the Mandovi to the Aguada bay.
Monserrate told TOI that he is committed to the people of Panaji to remove the casinos from the Mandovi which was one of his promises during the bypoll. "I welcome the decision of the state government and it looks like a start. Soon the rest of the offshore casinos will be also shifted," he said.
