Paiute Palace Casino in Bishop closes through end of March

Tuesday 17th March 2020

Effective March 17 at noon, the Bishop Paiute Tribal Council is responding to the emergency situation of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and has made the decision to close the Paiute Palace Casino in order protect our staff and community from the spread of COVID-19.

"The Tribe has also called a State of Emergency in order to more quickly respond to the needs of the community and our Team Members," the tribal council announced in its news release. "This was a very difficult decision; however, the safety of everyone is our first concern."

The temporary closure is effective through the end of March 2020.

"We will continue to monitor the Centers for Disease Control, State and Federal recommendations and will keep the community informed," the news release stated. "We are taking time to thank all of our customers for their loyalty during the past 25 years and we look forward to re-opening in the very near future."

During this closure, the casino will be providing emergency assistance to the casino team members to help them through this temporary closure and ease some of the financial burden this crisis has caused. For any questions, please feel free to contact the Bishop Paiute Tribal Office, Tribal Administration, Gloriana M. Bailey, Tribal Administrator, at 760-873-3584 Ext. 1300 or Gary Murrey, General Manager, Paiute Palace Casino at 760-873-4150.
