The United Way has received more than $5,500 over the last year from Kelowna's Playtime Casino.

Playtime provided the United Way 2019/2020 campaign a donation of more than $3,000 on Mar. 3, which will benefit the 2020 community fund, supporting more than 28 local charities who provide services to more than 38,000 Central Okanagan residents.

Playtime supports the United Way each year through events including the annual Bus Pull fundraiser and the Celebrity Roast.

The United Way campaign will be ending Mar. 31. All earnings contributed to the Community Fund will be processed by September.

Serving communities in the Okanagan, Columbia, Shuswap and Similkameen regions, the United Way focuses on three main areas including support children, guiding people from poverty to possibility and helping to build a healthy community.
